Is Broadband available at the Lodge? Yes, open access is available throughout the Lodge. Will chains be needed in winter? Chains or 4-wheel drive will be needed at times during winter months on Beech. Chain rentals are always available if required in Banner Elk, at the base of the mountain. Why does the Lodge always seem to be booked? Over the years we have experienced many wonderful guests but unfortunately have had several bad apples. We now have approximately 15 repeat families that frequent the lodge throughout the year and treat it as their home away from home.
